Drag racing fans have the opportunity to view the sport first hand at the Tater Town Raceway of Gleason, Tennessee. The track is 5469 Highway 22, right outside of Gleason. Drag racing season runs from April through October each year.

Weakley County schools have organized sports in football and basketball for students in the junior high and high school levels. High schools also have boys baseball and softball for girls. College sports fan will find a wide selection of sporting events available at the University of Tennessee at Martin. UTM is a member of the Ohio Valley Conference and has athletic teams in men's football, basketball, baseball, track and golf. Women's athletic programs include volleyball, softball, basketball, and track. UTM Sports also participates in intercollegiate rodeo and Rodeo Week is celebrated in Weakley County each year in April when the UTM team hosts other collegiate teams for three days of competition. The cities in Weakley County each have organized programs for the youth including baseball, softball, and basketball. The City of Martin also has an organized soccer program open to any youth in Weakley County. Adult softball teams are plentiful in Weakley County as well as the opportunities to participate in league or tournament play. Golfers can enjoy the sport at Persimmon Hills Golf Course located on Rock Hill Road in Sharon, Tennessee. The 18-hole "Winlinks" course at the Persimmon Hills Golf Course facility features 5,876 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72 . The course rating is 69.1 and it has a slope rating of 114.

The increased interest in the sport of disc golf brought a disc golf course to Martin, Tennessee. The course was developed to attract a diverse range of players from novice to advanced.
