Solid Waste Event

This event is held yearly at the Convenience Center for the disposal of various items. For 2014, the Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event took place on Saturday, June 7, 2014, from 8:00 a.m. - 12 Noon.

 

Location: Intersection of Hwy. 22 and Hwy. 217 in Dresden behind the Weakley County Highway Department (County Maintenance Road)

 

"Household Hazardous Waste" is defined as corrosive, flammable or toxic materials used in your home, car or truck, garden or lawn.

*Latex: Water-based paint can be dried and taken to a landfill.

We accept waste oil, auto and lawn batteries all year. Small alkaline batteries can now be landfilled since they have no mercury. This event is sponsored by Weakley County and Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation and is for households only - No Business Waste.
